Do I need to be GDC Registered?
Yes — all dental locums need to be GDC registered. (Receptionists excluded). This ensures that you meet professional standards and can legally work in any dental setting. If you’re in the process of registering, we can guide you on what’s needed to complete so that you can enrol with Us!
What documents do I need to Provide?
- Proof of GDC
- Proof of Indemnity
- Right to Work
- Hepatitis B Record
- Enhanced DBS
- CPD Certificates

How much Experience do I need?
We require professionals to have at least 6 months of experience (Dentists/Hygienists) and a minimum of 2 years if working as a Dental Nurse.
However, every candidate is considered on a case by case basis so reach out if to still be considered.
Can I do Locum if I work also?
Yes, absolutely! Many of our locums choose to work alongside a permanent role to gain extra income and flexibility.
Just let us know what your availability is and we’ll help you find locum shifts that fit around your schedule. We provide Flexi Contracts which are 0 hours, 0 commitment!

Do you offer Overseas Sponsorship?
Currently, Dentico does not provide visa sponsorship for overseas candidates. To work with us, you’ll need the legal right to work in the UK and full GDC registration.
However, we’re happy to offer guidance on the registration process and what’s required to practice in the UK.
